Umash: search mashups for magnets

search mashups for magnets

get umash

The best torrent search engine on Earth.

Free, open source and secure. Coming soon to macOS, Windows 11 and Linux.

The Umash window: a search with live results from many sources in one table, with size, seeds, leechers, source and published date, and tabs for four open searches.

Every source. One list.

Type once. Umash asks Jackett, Prowlarr and your qBittorrent search plugins at the same time, and results stream in live.

When several sources have the same torrent, you get one row that says so.

jackett: all your indexers
prowlarr: all your indexers
plugins: official and community

Keep searches open

Each search gets its own tab with its status beside it. Run one again without touching the rest.

Cut the noise

Sort any column. Filter by text, seeds and size, in names only or everything.

Hand off in one click

Open the magnet in your torrent app, copy the link or save the .torrent file.

Stay on the keyboard

i: type a search
/: filter results
j k: move down, up

Find out which plugins work.

Browse the official and community plugin lists and install what you want. Press Test All and every plugin runs a real search, then reports its results and speed.

The Umash plugins window: nine installed plugins, each with its version, origin, site, categories and a test result showing the number of results and the time taken.

Pick your colors

Six themes ship with the app. Try one: this page switches with it.

Careful with your keys and your machine.

Your keys stay in the system keychain. API keys never land in settings files or logs, and plugins never see them.
Read a plugin before it runs. Plugins are code, so Umash shows you the source before anything is written to disk.
Changes are visible. Umash records each plugin's SHA-256 at install and shows a diff for every update. Downloaded plugins never update themselves.
A redirect can't take your key. The Prowlarr client refuses every redirect, so a server can't pass your key along to another address.
Plugin output isn't trusted. Umash checks what a plugin returns from a download before acting on it.
Nobody's watching. No sign-up and no telemetry. Your searches go only to the sources you turn on.
